I have a 5ft KK rear blade. This past week I had my first opportunity to "play in the snow" on my gravel drive. Since 3ph height control is somewhat lacking with the JD2210, I was wondering if anyone knows of guage wheel assemblies which could welded/bolted to the to the blade.

The simplest solution, IMHO, is to weld or bolt short pieces of pipe to the back side of the blade and purchase two snowplow skid shoes. Any place that sells or services snowplows will have them. They are made of VERY hard steel and will last a lifetime for the average user.

The skid shoes work pretty well if the gravel is frozen up, if not they tend to dig somewhat. I assume your blade weighs a lot less than an 8' snow plow, so they should float better.
I bought brackets and shoes to repair a Fisher plow, and they are heavy-duty. As the weld-on brackets are cut on an angle to fit the spring loaded cutting edge of the plow, you might want to use angle iron or plate at that point. Mount close to the blade, don't tip them back too much.

I just bought a set of gauge wheels for my King kutter rake they seemed expensive to me ($185.00)but what a differance they make. Now raking my gravel drive is very easy and it does a beautiful job. They might make a set for there blades here is their # 800-228-2308 ....
